Dear Residents

Is the chilly weather a thing of the past?  Hope so!  The ladies will identify with me when I say I am sick of my winter clothes and cannot wait to get into summer dresses.

SERVICE DELIVERY

Robyn, Maple, Hamerkop Roads – I believe this has now been graded.

I would be grateful if residents in that area could advise whether the road is sorted out or if there is anything else that needs to be done.   This one took time but hopefully it is now useable.

Hawker – One took up stations at the corner of Elizabeth Fry and Harry Galaun.

We think we managed to get him removed.   If anybody does spot him there again please let me know.

Taxi Rank – Was developing  on the corner of Albertyn and Jamie Uys Street.

JMPD acted swiftly to our request to look into this and I believe the taxis were told to move.   Once again, if anybody does see them parked there please let me know.

Litter – at the open veld at the top of Anton Hartman.   Despite numerous requests to Pickitup the litter remains and is an eyesore.   Hopefully, soon, with the support of residents we will be able to employ Men on the Side of the Road to do this sort of cleaning for us.   It does not mean that we will allow the Muncipality to get away with doing there work though.   (Support of residents?   Buy a ticket for the dance or make a donation)

We are starting the process – of applying to have speed humps built in Robyn Road and extra lights erected.

CELLPHONE TOWER

The first I heard of this and apparently the wheels started turning in 2010 was that a tower (one of those tree goodies) is being erected in Chris Barnard Street and there is nought we can do about it.

MR BILLY RUDLIN

Billy, a wellknown resident has now completed the committee.   Amongst other duties he will be our link with the CPF.   Thank you, Billy.

WHAT WE ARE PLANNING

A pavement garden competition.   No charge.   Something to involve everybody who has a pavement in front of their house!   So start gardening.   Will keep you informed on that one.

Family Walk/ Run.   This takes a lot of work and planning.   Anybody out there who has the necessary experience to assist here?   We would love to hear from you.

Until next time,

Regards
